README Datafiles Lameris et al. "Climate warming may affect the optimal timing of reproduction for migratory geese differently in the low and high Arctic" 1) Snowcover.csv Datafile with columns DOY (Day of the year, in day numbers since January 1st), percentage snowcover, year, area (KF = Kongsfjorden, molotsni = Molotsni delta, neruta = Neruta delta, nsk = Nordenskiöldkysten, prebreed1 = Hornsundneset, prebreed2 = Ralstrånda, prebreed3 = Lognedalsflya, prebreed4 = Vårsolbukta, prebreed5 = Daudmannsøyra, prebreed6 = Sarsøyra, tobseda = Kolokolkova Bay), country (Svalbard or RUssia), and area type (breed or stage). 2) laydates.csv Datafile with frequence of laying dates, per year, site (kf, nsk or tobseda) and Island (only for KF: SH = Storholmen, PH = Prins Heinrichoya, the latter is not used in this study). Given is laying date (in DOY = day number) and hatch date, and the frequency of occurence of this laying date per year and site. Total gives the total number of nests for that particular year. 3) reproduction.csv Datafile with data on clutch size, number of hatchlings and nest fate for every nest used in the study. Data includes year and site (KF, NSK, tobseda), nest identity number, nesting attempt (only available for NSK), laydate (in day number), hatchdate (only for KF, where laydate is calculated from hatchdate), nest fate (hatched, predated, abaondoned or flooded), number of hatchlings and clutch size.
